My name is August Hunt, but you can call me Gus.
I'm a fourth year Broadcast Media Studies student at Mount Royal University. My experiences as an industry professional date back to my first acting job when I was only six years old, in the series Pet Heroes. Since then, I've explored graphic design, film-making, audio & video production, and even a little bit of coding.
Outside of the media realm, I spend considerable amounts of time playing video games, watching movies, and reading comics. As a kid, my parents said I had an encyclopedic knowledge of Marvel Comics, probably because of the multiple Marvel encyclopedias I read.
Rounding out the trifecta of Gus, I am incredibly passionate about social justice. I'm a biracial African American, and my black mom made sure I was an expert on black history and the black experience as soon as I could form full sentences. My upbringing, along with the challenges I've faced, have made me intensely driven as an advocate for social justice.
I also have a black belt in Taekwon-Do.
